As envisaged by political analysts, more members of the People’s Democratic Party have decamped to the soon-to-be ruling party.
Immediate past local government Chairmen Niger State, numbering 10, have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The former chairmen moved to the APC camp on Friday April 3, in Minna.
According to the APC Publicity Secretary in the state, Jonathan Vatsa, the defection is a boost to the party in the state, underscoring that all the rigging plans of the PDP in the April 11 governorship and state House of Assembly elections will fail, given the strength of APC in the state.
He said irrespective of the amount of money the party has budgeted to persuade voters, the people of Niger State will not be swayed as their resolve for change is unshaken.
