How 12 LG results sacked Taraba governor

A total of 12 local government areas in the state which the ministerial designate refused to accept their results had given her the edge over governor Ishaku at the tribunal.

More revelations have unfolded following the sack of the incumbent governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku by an election tribunal early today on Saturday, November 7, 2015.

According to reports, a total of 12 local government areas in the state which the ministerial designate refused to accept their results had given her the edge over governor Ishaku at the tribunal.

Multiple reports showed that after the INEC’s returning officer in Taraba State, Professor Kyari Mohammed announced Ishaku as the winner with 369,318 votes, Senator Alhassan, who was announced second with 275,984 votes refused the results claiming the results ascribed to 12 local governments did not reflect the true results of the votes casted.

The local governments in contention were Wukari, Donga, Takum, Sardauna, Zing, Yorro, Kurmi and some parts of Ussa, Karim-Lamido, Bali, Ardo-Kola and Lau local governments.
