Do you think President Muhammadu Buhari is right to make himself Minister of Petroleum?
Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari, has once again stirred the hornet's next when he announced that he is going to make himself the Minister of Petroleum Resources when he finally announces his new cabinet.
Buhari made the announcement while addressing reporters in New York where he said:
“I will remain Minister of Petroleum but I will appoint a minister of State for Petroleum.”
That statement has divided opinion in the country with many believing he is taking up so many issues on his head instead of delegating to others.
These set of people think there are capable Nigerians who can handle the job both at home and abroad, questioning the rationale behind PMB's decision to take up the post.
But supporters of the President have been quick to jump to his support in the efforts to sanitise Nigeria’s oil industry which is said to be plagued by corruption, massive fraud, and crude oil theft and his desire to free it shady deals.
On Morning Teaser today, we ask: do you think PMB is right to arrogate the Petroleum Ministry to himself?
