A 21-year-old human vampire has been arrested by the police in South Africa after he slit the throat of a five-year-old boy and drank the blood of the victim, Daily mail reports.

It was gathered that the vampire killer abducted the little victim identified as Tinyiko Reckson while he was playing with his friends in front of his house in Soweto and slashed his throat in what has been termed as a sacrificial killing.

The suspect was said to be dressed in religious garments when he grabbed the boy, pulled out a knife from the robe and plunged the blade into the boy's throat three times, then laid him down and knelt to drink his blood in a suspected ritualistic murder.

A witness, Lipolelo Boboke, who narrated how the incident happened, said:

"I heard Tinyiko's screams and saw this man stab him three times in the neck and then sit on him. After sucking the boy's blood as it came out of his neck, he just stared down at him."

Another witness, Andries Ndlovu, said:

"Children should be allowed to play freely but cannot because there are vampires out to get their blood in the day."
