A young lady has been kidnapped, raped and murdered in Edo State in one of the most dastardly act ever seen in the city.
The city of Benin, the capital of Edo State, was thrown into confusion in the early hours of Tuesday when the body of a woman identified as Joy Ojolede Okoh, was found abandoned in a boot of an SUV Jeep along the busy Upper Mission Extension road.
According to reports, the lady was kidnapped, gang-raped and murdered by unidentified persons before her body was dumped in the boot of the car which also snatched earlier that day for the obnoxious act.
The reports also add that the deceased lady was a 23-year-old bread seller at Lucky Way Junction by Ramat Park in the city and was probably abducted when she closed for the day's business and was on her way home.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Stephen Onwuchei, confirmed the ugly incident and said that the police have commenced investigation into the matter with a view to bringing the culprits to book.
