In Ogun State Police raid Ritualists' den

A den of shrine of ritualists have been discovered at the Iyana-Ilogbo, around Sango Ota, with Police discovering a decaying body, and making two arrests.

The  den was located within an abandoned Ayokunnu filling station, about 20 metres from the popular Iyana Ilogbo bus stop, along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

According to Sunday Vanguard, Policemen from Sango Police Station joined forces with the and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad team to raid the secret location after being informed by a member of the community.

The two suspected ritualists arrested in the den were identified as Babatunde Taofeek and Hammed Hassan. Two other suspects reportedly got away when the Policemen arrived the scene.

When contacted, Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident.

“Items recovered from the scene include a cutlass,clothes,shoes and caps, the suspects were at an abandoned filling station (Ayokunnu), at Iyana-Ilogbo.

“We are also making effort to arrest the owner of the abandoned filling station while the suspects are under interrogation.

“The Commissioner of Police‎, Mr Abdulmajid Ali, has ordered that the case be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Command, at Eleweran, Abeokuta for further investigation,” he said.
