According to CRARN, a body which has been involved in the rescue of abandoned and branded children in the southern parts of the country, said they were alerted by a good Samaritan to the plight of the four female children who were suffering different stages of injuries from beatings they got from their families.

It was gathered that children said they were told in a prayer house that they were witches, an allegation which compelled their parents to abandon them in the prayer house for years.

Narrating further, the children said their parents later came to the church at the instance of the pastor, picked them and put in a waiting car which drove them to a bridge at Abak Local Government Area and dumped them there.
