Actress loses out in politics

Nollywood actress, Bukky Wright, bites the dust in the political terrain.

Yoruba Nollywood actress, Bukky Wright, is the latest entertainment person to lose out in the political terrain after she lost the Social Democratic Party, SDP, ticket to vie for a seat in the House of Representatives for the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency of Ogun State.

The actress who had nurtured hopes of picking up the ticket in the recent primary elections of the party, lost to a former aide of the state Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, Joseph Sopade, who recently from the All Progressive Congress, APC, to join Aremu Segun Osoba, in the SDP, so as to contest in the election in 2015.

With the loss, Bukky Wright joins the likes of actress Kate Henshaw, actor Kenneth Okonkwo, singers Kenny Saint Best, 9ice, Tony Tetuila, amongst others, as entertainers whose sojourn in the political world ended in a fiasco.
