Rising actress Ini Dima-Okojie stepped into the Nollywood scene in 2014. Prior to acting, she worked as an investment banker but left this job to follow her dreams of performing for television.

In an exclusive interview with Pulse Nigeria, the actress speaks on the challenges of breaking into the industry.

“I don’t even know if I’ve broken through yet, it’s still a process”, she said.

The actress went on to speak about the situation. She said: “People want to be recognized for what’s already established, nobody wants to give the up and comer a chance".

“Everybody wants to work with who is that big face who is selling”, Dima-Okojie added.

During her interview, The New York Film Academy alumnus shared that she doesn’t pay attention to this dilemma rather her primary focus was to work hard. “I’ll keep working till my name Ini Dima-Okojie is on everybody’s lips”, she said.

The Delta born celebrity has starred in TV series “Taste of Love”, “Desperate Housewives Africa” and M- Net’s "Vanity’s Last Game". She has also featured in several films including "Death Toll", "Bad Hair Day" and  “A Bone To Pick”.
