Simi as been tipped to be the next great Nigerian songstress.


Singer Simi is our #WCW this week.

Simi whose full names are Simisola Ogunleye started music at an early age. She wrote her first song at the age of 10. As a member of the teens choir in Day Star she started singing and dancing.

The passion continued when she entered the Covenant University. She released her debut album '' in 2008 produced by then an unknown producer called Samklef.

In 2014, she signed to X3M Music and released her hit single Tiff released the same year. With the acceptance of the record by the mainstream, she released 'Jamb Question' in February. The song is still earning spins on radio and played on TV.

Simi belongs to the new wave of young non-pop singers in Nigeria. She possesses the girl next door image and haunting vocals.
