The Happy Show – ‘The African Surf Safari’

What’s your summer saying? The Happy Show DJs present a new mix to get you in the mood for the sunny season. The mixtape called ‘The African Surf Safari’ is highly influenced by rock and roll, African funk, disco, jazz and soul music.

Findlay Brown and Xander Ferreira make up the New York based DJ duo. They are popular for their afro-funk sound and creating African dance music. The new mixtape is a combination of chants, West African highlife blended with trumpet sounds, the striking of percussion instruments and feet stamping drum beats.

They describe their newest release as “a collection of music that feels like Surf Rock from Africa”. Check out the ‘The African Surf Safari’ below.
