Nigerians have quite a lot to say about the temporary cancellation of 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," a TV game show which was a source of entertainment and knowledge for 13 years.

On Sunday, June 25, 2017, Frank Idoho, who hosted the show since it made its debut, announced that the show is going on a temporary break.

He later took to his Twitter account to reveal that the hiatus is as a result of the withdrawal of sponsorship by MTN Nigeria.

Produced by Ultima Limited, MTN took over sponsorship of the TV show in 2006, making it bigger by doubling the prize money from five million naira to 10 million naira.

On the show,  large cash prizes are offered for correctly answering a series of multiple-choice questions of increasing difficulty, with three lifelines presented to the contestants at the beginning of the game - 50/50, Phone a friend and ask the audience.
