She won the best actress category at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her role in Kunle Afolayan's 'October 1' movie.
Nollywood actress, Kehinde Bankole, who was one of the star performers in Kunle Afolayan’s "October 1" movie has denied sleeping with him to get a role as an actress in the film.
She revealed this in an interview with Broadway TV when she was questioned about how she got the movie role.
Bankole said, “What I want to correct is the thinking of people, if you keep giving roles to people you are sleeping with, will a lot of them be good actors?”
“I think people should first of all correct their thinking, nothing like that happened”.
The actress, who won recognition as Best Actress at the 2016 AMVCA, stated that it would be a big risk for any movie producer to feature an actor because such a person was good in bed.
She added that it could jeopardise the entire film project.
Bankole began her journey to fame in 2003, when she participated in the Miss Commonwealth Nigeria beauty contest.
Two years after her first screen feature in Wale Adenuga's 'Super Story', she won the revelation of the year category at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards.
