Singer wins best new artist at 2015 Soul Train Awards

While accepting his award, the 'Classic Man' singer recalled how his father pushed him to be the best, as the award seems to be proof of this.

 

Nigerian-American singer, Jidenna, has emerged the winner of the Best New Artist award at the 2015 Soul Train Awards held on Sunday, November 29.

The singer who has lived most of his life in the US, has had a lot of controversy of recent, since he began associating himself with Nigeria in recent times.

While accepting his award, the 'Classic Man' singer recalled how his father pushed him to be the best, as the award seems to be proof of this.

Jidenna made mention of a time when he brought home a test from school with a 98 score, and instead of a pat on the back, his father asked him: "Where are your other two points?".

The singer has definitely earned this award.
