Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko has been elected the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ forum.

Mimiko was elected during a meeting of the party’s governor-members on Wednesday, June 17, 2015.

According to forum coordinator, Osaro Onaiwu, about nine of the 13 PDP governors had shown their support for Mimiko during a series of informal meetings.
Mimiko previously served as deputy to the former chairman of the forum and former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio.
