The All Progressives Congress (APC) became Nigeria’s ruling party after the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29, 2015.

Prior to that, the country had spent 16 years under the rule of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The APC has in recent times been locked in a crisis over its choice of National Assembly leaders.

Despite this however, the bulk of voters believe that the APC is better at governance than the PDP.
