A suspect arraigned before a magistrate court in Osun State for allegedly stealing a woman's pants has begged the court to pardon him.

It was gathered the suspect stole the pants of one Gift Sunday of Agowande area of Osogbo around 1 am. He was charged to court on two count charges of stealing.
According to police prosecuting officer, Inspector Muslim Jafani, the accused took the pants away, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under the Criminal Code Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.
Reacting to the allegation, the accused who admitted stealing the pants told the court that he returned it after about five minutes.
Adeleke said "I actually stole the pants, but within five minutes, I returned them. Please pardon me."
He pleaded guilty to the charges. His defense counsel pleaded for bail with a promise to always present him for trial.
In her ruling, the presiding magistrate, Modupe Awodele, ordered that the accused be remanded in the Ilesha Prison and adjourned the case till February 2, 2019, for ruling on the bail application.
