Police display N100M cash allegedly paid by governor to INEC officials [PHOTOS]

Wike has repeatedly denied rigging the elections but refused to acknowledge the police probe panel and instead created his own.

Police panel displays N100 million cash as evidence against Govenor Nyesom Wike on February 7, 2017.

In connection with the probe, the panel displayed, as evidence, N100 million in cash which was allegedly paid to INEC officials by Wike in a bid to sway the election in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He also approached the Federal High Court in Abuja in an attempt to stop the probe but the court rejected his plea.

Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris told the court that Wike was trying to cover his tracks.

Idris also said that the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by Wike had no power to investigate the Rivers polls.
