Makarfi resumes as party chairman
Former Kaduna State Governor, Ahmed Makarfi is now the acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The former governor resumed duties today, June 7, 2016, according to the party’s Twitter handle.
“It is time to make friends and not enemies. It is time to rebuild our party. Let us make peace with all men,” the new PDP chairman said.
Makarfi was appointed to head a PDP Caretaker Committee after the removal of former chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff.

Sheriff was removed on May 21 at the party’s national convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
