‘We’ll respond to President’s private asset declaration later,’ PDP says

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that it would soon issue a response to President Muhammadu Buhari’s private declaration of his assets.

Buhari and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, reportedly submitted their asset declaration forms on Friday, May 28, 2015.

The PDP, said on Sunday, May 31, through National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, that the party would give the new leaders time to settle down before responding.

“We will allow President Muhammadu Buhari to settle down and address the promises made to Nigerians, we will talk on asset declaration later,” Metuh said.

The declaration was acknowledged by the Code of Conduct Bureau but some individuals and groups have called for Buhari and Osinbajo to publicly declare their assets.
