‘If PDP was so fantastic, it would still be in power,’ APC spokesman says

The APC also urged the PDP to focus on repairing its damaged reputation instead of resorting to attention-seeking tactics.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stop distracting President Muhammadu Buhari from the task of leading Nigeria.

This was contained in a statement released by APC National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed on Monday, September 15, 2015.

It reads in part:

“The question the PDP should ask itself is that if it had laid a solid foundation for the economy in its 16 years in charge, could such a foundation have given way in just three months of a new administration?”

“If the PDP had been as fantastic as its statement had portrayed, it would still be the ruling, rather than the opposition party that it is now.”

“It is therefore important for the PDP to concentrate its attention on remaking its tattered image rather than continuing to act as a desperate attention-seeking opposition.”

Mohammed released the statement after his PDP counterpart, Olisa Metuh accused the Buhari administration of lacking economic direction.
