Elders beg national leaders to intervene in the ongoing APC crisis

Elders who signified interest in a statement signed by the leader of the stakeholders who doubles as a former commissioner of education in Kaduna state, Mr. Mataimaki Tom Maiyashi, include; Dr Stanley A. Mamman, Mr Joel Giwa,Senator Lawal Aliyu (Silver), Alhaji Auwal Isah Gote, Hajiya Hauwa Baba-Ahmed, Alhaji Yaro Makama Rigachikun, Mohammed Kabir Ajuji, Murtala Abubakar,Alhaji Aminu Sani, Alhaji Kabir Salihu, Hajiya Hafsat Mohammed Baba, Hajiya Aisha Galadima, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Ambassador Sule Buba, Alhaji Kabir Umar, Alhaji Ibrahim Yaro and Abdullahi Tanimu.

Quoting the Statement, “the fiasco which this development is generating is placing our party in severe disrepute and our members in a state of intense grief and confusion. The questionable legality of the suspension and the childish reasons given for it demand that responsible members of the party speak up and demand a stop to the embarrassing melodrama that is unfolding.”

Using the suspension of Senator Shehu Sani in Kaduna as an illustration, they deemed it as a  result of the degeneration which is bound to occur pursuant to activities of an APC clique whose members are of the  opinion that their loyalty  solely lies with the Governor.

“We assure all members of the APC and other citizens in Kaduna State that we will continue to express views and opinions, as well as organize our fellow members to resist anti-people and dictatorial actions from all quarters. We remain loyal to our party, and committed to finding solutions to its problems."
