Is anti-Jega campaigner planning to leave PDP for APC?

Orubebe, who attracted controversy after disrupting the announcement of presidential election results in March, gave a hint of his plans via Twitter on Tuesday, May 19, 2015.

Godsday Orubebe

Former Minister of the Niger Delta and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Godsday Orubebe seems to be planning a defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I have concluded plans to join my folks in the APC to champion and sustain the movement for a better Niger Delta in the new administration,” Orubebe tweeted.

“Details will be released soon. Thank you all,” he added.

The former minister gained notoriety for calling Attahiru Jega, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), a biased tribalist.

The tweets are believed to be coming from Orubebe directly because they were sent out from the same account with which he issued an apology for the election results debacle.
