Governor dishes out leadership advice to Nigerian politicians

Fayose said further that staying connected to the people would help a leader gauge the mood of the people and get feedback from them concerning government policies.

Ayodele Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose has urged Nigerian leaders to refrain from disconnecting themselves from their followers after assuming office.

The governor made the comments on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, via a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi.

It reads:

“Apart from being able to gauge the mood of the people and get feedback from them concerning government policies, it is also an avenue to educate them on steps being taken by the government too.”

“Not many of them have access to those in authority, and a good leader must be ready to serve and not disconnect himself from those he is leading.”
