A magistrate court sitting in Evbuoriaria, Edo State, has convicted a paedophile, identified as Lambert Ighodaro, to 12 years in prison for defiling a 12-year-old girl.

According to reports, the victim had narrated her experience to her class teacher. She explained that Ighodaro has been abusing her since 2017.
The teacher later reported the matter to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), who further reported the case to police.
