While parading Friday Domozu to the media on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, the Police said the 23-year-old's gang kidnapped Farida Yahaya on November 2, 2020.

The six-year-old girl was abducted alongside another 14-year-old boy who later escaped from the kidnappers' den.

Police spokesperson, Frank Mba, said the gang demanded a huge ransom from the girl's family, and later killed her because they could not pay.

Domozu, a former military trainee, led police officers to the girl's remains in the deep forest at Gabije area of Kogi after he was arrested.

The officers also exhumed the decomposing body of another victim later found to be that of one 40-year-old Ibrahim Madaki who had earlier been declared missing.

Mba said efforts are underway to arrest the rest of Domozu's gang members still at large.
