5 persons infected with virus in Jamaica
Jamaican health minister, Christopher Tufton during a press briefing at the Jamaica House confirmed that five Jamaicans have been infected with the Zika Virus.

Tufton added that there might be more persons infected as the ministry is awaiting results of 145 samples that were sent to Trinidad and Tobago for testing.
According to , four of the five confirmed cases resides in Portmore, St Catherine while the last person is from Lyssons, St Thomas.
