Kissing is a sensuous and thrilling act of touching someone or something with your lips. Depending on the preceding event or feeling, it is a form of connecting emotionally with a person or object and could mark the difference between a platonic relationship and something intimate.

While it represents one of the oldest forms of expressing affection, some people find it awkward when they see lovers kiss publicly. This could stem from beliefs, traditions or simply conservation born from not wanting their young ones exposed to the act too early.
Either ways, as much as the 'African' tradition hasn't adapted fully to the idea of such an intimate public display of affection, a whole lot of people on this side of the world are starting to loosen up, and practise the act of kissing publicly.
