There was electricity, talent and energy. Phones lit up and IG was vibrating. It was easy to tell that something big was happening. From the first stream, the magic had been created and everyone was eager for it to continue.

On Wednesday the 5th of August, 48 other contestants from all over Nigeria, who qualified from the pre-selections and are ready to show their talent joined us on IG Live @dare2dreamng and perform for our jurors.

The exciting Season 6 of Dare2Dream is new, different and bigger than anything we have ever done before.

The challenge of COVID-19 has turned into a blessing in disguise as we have successfully moved our platforms to digital and mainstream media and the reception has been amazing.

Last week, all that we did backstage crested into the first IG Live show. It was hard to select among so many amazing acts but we had to choose and so we did. We are pleased to announce the 15 Stream 1 contestants who have made it into incubation.

The performing artistes we loved to watch are:

Lagos based singers Segun Olumide (@simplylight), and Peter Walter Kenzii (@king_peterwalter); PH based singer Great (@kendie_okuunye), spoken-word artist Matthew Otor from Lagos, and De kingz (@dekingz_official) the dance team from Calabar.

For our designer category, we are admiring fashion from a diverse crowd and we congratulate

Sophia (@Sophiachizarum) from Port Harcourt, Deborah (@O_borbor) from Calabar, Dotun (@Walehottea) from Lagos and Josephine (@Afro_jogurl) from Ibadan.

The winner of the week’s wild card is singer Meemah Jackson @meemahjackson from Jos.

All these remarkable talents are going straight into incubation and we cannot wait to see what they do as we go further. This week we unveil the next 15 to join them.

So, what is hot and what is next?

Without a doubt, the competition is getting more and more intense so mark your calendar for Sunday the 9th of August to discover the contestants who made it into incubation and who would be the winner of the wild card.

Join us on PopCentral TV channel 189 at 5: 30pm on DSTV as the jurors and our special guest announce the best 15 who join the peers in incubation.

Our special guest for the week would be Denrele Edun who would share about” The Creative Juice” - Consistency, Evolution & Longevity as a Creative. Who wouldn’t want to listen to what The Denrele has to say about this topic? Let us make it a date then.
