In her Pulse TV interview, DJ Cuppy spoke about her deep passion for Nigeria. "A lot of people are surprised when they see how passionate I am about about Nigerian culture, even in the way I dress. And I think that I am an advocate for the country outside of Nigeria. I am very passionate about getting myself involved [in] representing the country outside as well. A lot of people question that. I think that right now in Nigeria we are going through a very difficult time where a lot of people are losing faith in the country" said DJ Cuppy.

On Saturday, August 1, 2015 DJ Cuppy kicked off her Africa tour in Lagos at the the Federal Palace Hotel. Prominent guests who showed up at the event were Aliko Dangote and her father Femi Otedola.
