Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has spoken out on his idea of what corruption means.

Amaechi gave the explanation on Thursday, October 22, 2015, during his ministerial screening by the Senate.

“Corruption is difficult to define. If they send a girl to you to do something for her and you sleep with the girl, you are corrupt,” Amaechi said.

“I have never collected bribe in my life,” the former governor added when questioned about the allegations of corruption levelled against him.

Amaechi’s screening had been delayed after three Senators from his state raised a petition against him citing the said allegations.

The former governor was however successfully screened by the legislative chamber.

Does Amaechi deserve to be a minister?»
