7th Senate lawmaker dumps PDP for APC

Adeyemi, who announced his defection on Friday, April 8, says he joined APC to support President Buhari's vision to transform Nigeria.

Adeyemi announced his defection to the ruling party while briefing newsmen in Abuja on Friday, April 8. 2016.

He said he joined the APC to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s determination to develop every part of the country, especially his Kogi West constituency.

While urging his supporters to troop to the APC, he said dumping the People's Democratic Party (PDP) was not regretful.

Pulse recalls that shortly before the Kogi State Governorship election in December 2015, members of Senator Adeyemi’s political organisation and notable PDP chieftains in Okunland had defected to the APC, to support the party's gubernatorial candidate, late Abubakar Audu.
