"I'm still in APC," Senate President refutes claims of dumping party

The account which used to carry the phrase, “member of the APC”, as part of his info in the bio, became the subject of discourse after the phrase was removed from the Senate President's bio.

 

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has refuted claims that he's dumping his party as a result of his current predicament.

Saraki made this known in the wee hours of Sunday, September 20, 2015 via his verified Twitter handle, @bukolasaraki following mixed reactions that trailed the removal of his party’s name from his bio.

Saraki, however took out time to douse tension and erase doubt of his dedication to the political party witha tweet saying, “I remain a card carrying member of my dear party. But I’m also honoured to serve as Senate President of all Senators.”

Saraki also used the opportunity to pen a tribute to the late HID Awolowo, who passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 afternoon.
