The Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan on Tuesday upheld the victory of six members of the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Appeal Court upholds election of 6 Assembly members
The court held that the tribunal was right in its Oct. 28 judgments dismissing the respective petitions challenging the victory of the lawmakers.

The appellate court presided over by Justice Samuel Oseji upheld the judgments of the Legislative Election Petitions Tribunal for Oyo on the elections.
The lawmakers, who were from Labour Party, were Mr Gideon Aremu (Orelope State Constituency), Mr Olagunju Ojo (Orire State Constituency), Gbenga Oyekola (Atiba State Constituency) and Mr Oyetunji Peter (Surulere/ Ogooluwa State Constituency).
The other two from All Progressives Congress were Saheed Badmos (Akinyele State Constituency) and Mr Abiodun Muyideen (Oluyole State Constituency).
The appellate court held that the lawmakers were validly elected by the majority of votes cast in their respective constituencies.
