Governor Chime not aware of impeachment plot – Aide

This was disclosed on Monday, May 4, 2015, by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Chukwudi Achife.

The Enugu State Government has said that it’s not aware of any impeachment proceedings against Governor Sullivan Chime.

This was disclosed on Monday, May 4, 2015, by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Chukwudi Achife.

Achife further described the impeachment attempt, which is being spearheaded by 15 state lawmakers, as null and void.

“What we should be talking about is the new leadership of the House of Assembly and not what the old one did. The process is perpetrated by those leaving the government on May 29 and that is why they are furious. No impeachment notice has been served on the governor; we must get that straight,” he said.
