Poor turnout recorded in re-run poll

The supplementary election is holding in Ilejemeje State Constituency of the state, following the cancellation of the April 11 poll in the some areas, over electoral malpractices.

Low turnout has been recorded in Ekiti State’s ongoing election rerun in 20 polling units.

The supplementary election is holding in Ilejemeje State Constituency of the state, following the cancellation of the April 11 poll in the some areas, over electoral malpractices.

NAN reports that as at 8:30a.m, the the accreditation queue was scanty in most of the polling units visited - Ward 06 Iye 3, PU 007 Imose-Ise, Owakuta PU 003 and Ise PU 006,

It was reported that other affected polling units in Iludun and Obada also recorded minimal turnout but the poll is adjudged to be going on smoothly and peacefully.
