Why ex-President visited Buhari at night

The meeting, which held at Buhari’s official residence, was said to be so private that no other person was allowed to participate.

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan, on Thursday, August 6, 2015, paid a secret night-time visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, reports say.

A Presidency source, who chose to remain anonymous, told Punch that Jonathan probably visited the Presidential Villa at night in order to avoid the meeting becoming public knowledge.

“Nobody was with them. I am sure they don’t want the visit to be an item in the media. That probably explains why the former President visited at night and went straight to the residence. They met for a few minutes in the President’s residence,” the source said.

The meeting was also confirmed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina who however said that he had no idea what was discussed.
