Senator calls PDP ‘satanic’, has no regrets supporting Saraki

Senator Dino Melaye has said that he does not regret supporting the emergence of Bukola Saraki as Senate President.

Melaye, who represents the Kogi West Senatorial District also described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a ‘satanic party.’

The Senator made the comments via Twitter on Tuesday, July 6, 2015.

He said:

“Nigerians must realise that d people's sovereignty is far greater than party's supremacy. Just like d bible dearer to me than d constitution”

“What you say about Dino does not bother me. What God & my conscience says, far more important. All men must give account of their stewardship.”

“All politics are local. I will not leave a more qualified brother like Saraki who is not only more capable but from the North Central to …The gullibility of so many on social media is embarrassing. I have no regret supporting @bukolasaraki. I worked and voted competence.”

“I will be the last person to practice anti party or support the satanic party i assiduously helped to uproot.”

Saraki emerged Senate President on June 9 in defiance of the wishes of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which had chosen Senator Ahmed Lawan to occupy the post.
