Secret Service restores Speaker’s security detail

Tambuwal’s security coverage was reportedly restored on Wednesday, March 11, after being withdrawn on October 28, 2014.

The Department of State Service (DSS) has restored the security detail of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal.

The speaker’s security was withdrawn due to his defection from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“We came home and met the operatives; they resumed about 5pm. The Speaker returned to see them in his house and it was a surprise to all of us,” Tambuwal’s Special Adviser on Media, Imam Imam, confirmed to Punch.

Tambuwal’s police security detail has however not been restored.
