PDP Patriotic Front say removal is in order, endorse Makarfi

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Patriotic Front has commended the leaders of the party for towing the path of honour and integrity by dissolving the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Sen Ali Modu Sheriff.

The leader of the PDP Patriotic front in Kaduna State, Comrade Danjuma Bello, said in a statement on Monday 23 May 2016 that the decision sacking Sheriff and others has also proven that impunity, imposition and injustice is no doubt a thing of the past in the PDP adding that no individual or group can hold the party to ransom.

“This singular act has restored the hope and confidence of party faithful in our leaders. We urged the committee to meet with the Jerry Gana group and all aggrieved camps in the party to reconcile their differences, reposition, rebuild and return the party to the path of justice, equity and fairness for the betterment of our great party,” the statement said.

“There is no doubt that Sen. Makarfi is a man of impeccable character, an astute politician, an experienced leader who commands enormous respect among party faithful and Nigerians. The other members of the committee are also credible, with outstanding records and the sagacity required reconciling and uniting the party,” the group added.
