INEC announced the extension today, February 9, via a statement released by its secretary, Augusta Ogakwu.
“The Commission hopes that this extension will finally avail every registered person yet to collect his/her PVC the opportunity to do so in readiness for the general elections,” Ogakwu said.
This comes after INEC postponed the general elections, which were originally slated to hold on February 14 and 28, to March 28 and April 11, 2015.
