'Men of God have no reason to be poor'- Pastor Blessing Agboli slams OAP

The wife of the General Overseer of the Victorious Army Ministries has added her voice to the raging tithing controversy.

Every other day, one man of God or the other is sure to weigh in on the controversy with many of them slamming the controversial OAP with their stance on the issue with most of them telling the Cool FM presenter not to dabble into issues that he has no authority to talk about.

From Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Paul Adefarasin and Apostle Johnson Suleman, these men of God have lambasted the #FreeTheSheeple Movement founder on his campaign against paying of tithes.

The recent person to jump into the fray is the Pastor [Nrs.] Blessing Agboli, the wife of the General Overseer of Victorious Army Ministries International, who has made it clear that tithes and offerings are not enough for men of God to buy private jets, expensive cars and live affluent lives.

Pastor [Mrs.] Agboli who runs the church with her husband, Pastor Joseph Agboli, in defending the injunction for church members to pay their tithes so as to get blessings from God, said Daddy Freeze is not only ignorant about the things of God but has no moral justification in the campaign he has been carrying on for a while now.

She refuted claims that most church leaders with private jets acquired them using the tithes and offerings gathered from their congregants, saying private jets are so expensive for Pastor to buy them using member's tithes only.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos recently, Pastor [Mrs.] Agboli wondered how much church members will pay as tithes that would be enough for Pastor to use to buy private jets and live flamboyant lifestyles.

"Offerings cannot buy private jets. You cannot just park a jet without making a business out of it. Owning a private jet is not a sin and those who have them should never be apologetic.

I don’t think offerings can buy jets. I don’t think pastors also should apologize for making and spending money. That we are pastors does not mean we should be poor," she said.

However, many people who are in support of daddy Freeze have been coming at the woman of God with many asking her and her husband to declare the kind of business they do beside their church that gives them so much wealth.
