Gay activist drums up support for the arrested Bobrisky

This popular gay activist has risen in support of the arrested male-barbie who recently came out to admit he is gay.

Recall that Bobrisky was arrested yesterday night by men of the Nigeria Police and though no one could tell what his offence was, many believe it had to do with his recent admission of being a gay.

Alimi, unarguably the first man in Nigeria to come out in the open to state his sexual preference, seems not to be happy about the arrest of the bleaching king and has launched a campaign with the hashtag #FreeBobrisky and is asking every Nigerian to support the campaign.

Taking to his Instagram page, Alimi wrote and urged Nigerians to stand up for what he believes is an injustice. He also made reference to the arrest of controversial media personality, Kemi Olunloyo who has been having a running battle with the authorities after she was arrested some months ago for defaming a Rivers State-based man of God, Pastor David Ibiyeomie.

Read what Alimi posted:

"While we are not yet clear on what crime Bobrisky committed, I have to say irrespective of your views of Bobrisky, the arrest demands that we all come together to speak out and persistently so.

This arrest is the second in line of the arrest of people who are public and challenging the norms in Nigeria. The first was Kemi.

We might not like Bobrisky, but it is a matter of time that someone we will like will get caught up in this web of insanity sweeping across Nigeria.

Speak now because you never know when it will be your turn.

The continuous detention of #bobrisky is illegal and unless the police state the basis for the arrest, Bobrisky should be released #freebobrisky."
