The Nigerian government and militants in the Niger Delta have reached a one-month ceasefire agreement, reports say.

New militant group, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) was also included in the deal, a Nigerian official told Reuters.

“It was very difficult getting the Niger Delta Avengers to the negotiating table but we eventually did through a proxy channel and achieved the truce,” the official said.
