The former commissioner also said “But what do we have in Ekiti. We have someone who never promised anything, so could not deliver anything.”
Punch reports that he also confirmed that the former Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi took a loan, saying “Yes we took a bond of N25billion, and the repayment plan was well structured. 50 percent of the loan was regenerative and 50 per cent social infrastructure like road, bridges and water projects. And the repayment was tied to some specific receipts from the federation account.”
The former commissioner said the people of the state are suffering because of Fayose’s inability to lead in critical situations.
Governor Ayo Fayose blamed his predecessor, Kayode Fayemi for the state’s indebtedness.
