Onuekwusi died early on Tuesday, May 23, at an Abuja hospital after a prolonged illness.

“He first fell sick in March but we didn’t see this coming,” one of his colleagues told The Cable.
His death has been confirmed by Channels and the Chairman of the State House Press Corps, Ubale Musa.
Onuekwusi, who died at 55 years of age, is survived by his wife and children.
