Terrorists threaten “dire consequences” over leaked video of Chibok girls

Sources said the terrorists have threatened that there would be “dire consequences” over the video leak as it was never intended to be broadcast.

According to The Cable, the leadership of Boko Haram was “livid” over the leak, which they described as leak as “treachery”, as “it was never intended for broadcast”.

The online news platform which quoted security sources said the terrorists have threatened that there would be “dire consequences” over the leak.

“They think the government and the media are not genuinely interested in the girls’ freedom,” one of the sources said.

The sect leaders are accusing the government of “cheating” because the video was only recorded as “proof of life” for negotiators.

It is however believed that the girls have been divided into different groups among different Boko Haram “divisions” and the leaked video may be proof that the girls are in batches of 15 or less.

According to the video, which was recorded in December 2015, the 15 said they were speaking on behalf of their colleagues, expressed the desire to be reunited with their families.
