The rainy season can be one of those times when dressing up can become a chore/a daunting task but these styles pieces add the perfect amount of drama for your overall look.
The rainy season can be one of those times when dressing up can become a chore/a daunting task!
It becomes almost impossible to get all dressed up as one would have wanted from making sure not to pick out whites for fear of getting stained/wet and messy to picking out styles that won't drag on the wet floor or colours that will retain drops of water as stains as well as fabrics that won't last when in contact with water and the list goes.
It's also the best time to get adventurous- if you dare infuse a blend of chic rich colours to brighten the whole look (the weather will be dull so why not stand out) It's also the perfect time to perfect layering- wear stunning style pieces on to of each other, pair the kimono with jumpsuit, bodycon skirt and top etc.
A wool tank top for instance can work well over a crisp shirt, a nice free top can be paired with flared pants seamless and so on.
There are so many ways to stand out during the rainy season, use the cool weather to an advantage by going out all stylish.
1. Print Scarfs
Print scarfs add colour and fire up any look chic so instead of the lacklustre and dull appearances during the rainy season, throw on a fab silk scarf.
2. High/turtle neck sweaters
High neck tops/turtle necks can be brought to play during the rainy season when it's usually cold. Wear turtle neck tops alone or under blazers, kimonos and more for a unique effect.

3. Long Sleeve Shirts
The rainy season is the best time to wear those long sleeve shirts, wearing flattering/fitted shirts over fitting bottoms during rainy season erases any sloppy look as you are smart casual and ready to take on the day in style.
4. Kimonos/ Blazers
Kimonos and blazers are perfect for the season, pair them with stylish separates or matching sets for a casual businesslike look.
5. Slim Fit denim (skinny jeans)
During rainy season stick to fitting denim pants, flares and culottes are probably not best at the time. Wear fitted bottoms to define your look and to make sure the edges are not 'sweeping' the floor!
6. Ankle Boots
Rainy season is also the best time to get daring with footwear, bring out those pair of ankle boot to make a statement over denim bottoms and keep your feet warm all at the same time.
