The debut edition of the consumer focused fashion exhibition and capacity building set to improve the Nigerian fashion industry will unite consumers with fashion designers, enthusiasts to promote indigenous businesses, educate creatives and more.
With three major highlights; shopping, masterclass and runway shows set up, the fashion weekend is one to look forward to and here are reasons to attend (masterclasses have to be registered for and if you haven't yet then it's too late!)
1. Masterclass
The masterclass already full is set to impact attendees in the industry will feature seasoned/experts from the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industry coming from different parts of the world.
The impressive list of speakers at the masterclass include Sam Fine spokersperson for Covergirl and Revlon and makeup artist to the stars including Iman, Queen Latifah, Halle Berry, Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily, Tracy Reese, Dylan Jones editor GQ UK, revered fashion buyer; Bijou Abiola, Oke Maduwesi of Zaron Cosmetics amongst other season professionals.
2. The Exhibition aka Sales!!!
Top fashion brands and retailers will have goods (indigenous and international) displayed for sale at the exhibition where a handful of loved Nigerian brands will set up shop. Style Temple, Wanni Fuga, Zashadu, Amede, 24, Lady Biba, Kamokini and more designers will be exhibiting and selling new season pieces.
3. Ugo Mozie to style the runway show!
Stylist to the stars Ugo Mozie who has worked with Vivienne Westwood, Beyonce, P.Diddy, Chris Brown, and other celebrities will style the exclusive runway show (by invite only). Mozie is also the fashion editor at 360 magazine and Ghubar magazine. He co-owns a fashion line called Aston Mozie.
4. Marco Louis is the lead makeup artist
Marco Louis is the East & West Africa rep for MAC Cosmetics. Before joining the foremost cult brand, Louis worked with Estee Lauder, the seasoned make-up artist is from South Africa.
