Abraham Attah is not just a talented actor, he is also a philanthropist. He donned a black tuxedo and velvet TOMS to the Academy Awards and got 10,000 shoes for Ghana in the process.
At the Oscars 2016, Abraham Attah disclosed to E! correspondent Ryan Seacrest, in a red carpet interview, that the shoe brand will donate 10,000 pairs of shoes to the people of Ghana. Although the shoe brand isn’t non profit, it ensures to donate a pair of shoes for each shoe sold.
According to the brand posted to Instagram, “We’re so grateful for Abraham Attah’s choice to wear #TomsShoes on the red carpet last night. We’re excited to give 10,000 pairs of shoes on his behalf to children of need in his home country of Ghana. Giving looks good on you, Abraham!”
The Ghanaian actor, who just nabbed another movie role alongside Anne Hathaway and Keanu Reeves, was also spotted wearing lace-up TOMS at the Independent Spirit Awards where he won Best Actor in Lead Role for the movie, Beasts of No Nations.
